A MIAM certificate is a document issued by a mediator after your Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM). It confirms that you have attended the meeting or explains why mediation was not suitable. This certificate is sometimes called a Mediator’s Certificate and is required for most family court applications, including child arrangements (C100) or financial matters (Form A).
C100
The C100 form with a mediator’s signature ensures that you have taken the necessary steps to resolve disputes amicably where possible. It is needed when applying for a child arrangements order or other orders related to children.
Form A
The Form A is used to apply for a financial order in divorce or civil partnership. The mediator signature confirms you have considered mediation before proceeding to court allowing you to move forward with an application.
